So this blog overall is going to be my attempt to jot down my childhood dream come true....journeying through life with a dog by my side.
I have wanted to have a dog as a pet since i was a kid but my dad isn't much into pets and my sister freaks out even at the sight of toothless puppies SO no dogs in our house. I did try to sneak in a puppy this one time when I was 9 years old hoping the puppies soulful eyes would win over the rest of the family but my sister basically ended up camping on the dining table in the kitchen for the 2 hours that the puppy was trying its soulful eyes thing and my mom gently explained the facts of life to me namely the reality that she would be stuck doing all the caring for another kid in the house which she was not in the mood to accept.
Now that I look back on it I am thankful my mom did not cave in to my wishes as it would have been hell for the dog if I was it's only supporter. A dog is not a goldfish or a beta that can be tucked into the corner of a room and just fed once a day with no other attention required.
So here I am 40 years old and living the life - a perfect family which includes the most handsome, sweet, comical, drooly, perennially hungry and awesome dog in the world!
